The wonderful and talented Dorangela with Two Prince Bakery Theater styled the Mad Hatter Tea Party and she did a fantastic job. She is local to the Tampa area, you can follow her on Facebook . Meet the Springs family. We had their session on the gorgeous Sand Key Beach in Clearwater Florida.  We had a ton of fun and look forward to working with them again! I would like to leave you with a favorite quote of mine.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of being taught a ton of new things and was given a refresher on a few others by the amazing Shay Cochrane. Shay held a small workshop here in Tampa that focused on reminding us that we ARE smarter than the camera.

The first part of the workshop was more of a classroom type setting. We covered some camera basics and lens choices. She also focused on some things that will make us more comfortable making our client more at ease. Something the majority of us were having issues with were posing/making clients look and feel comfortable.

The second part of the workshop we put our new found knowledge to test. She had a newly married couple in tow while we scouted out less than ideal locations in the busy streets of Tampa, so she could prove to us that we can make great images in bad locations. Most of the spots we stopped at had smelly disgusting garbage cans right behind where we were standing. We were taught how slight changes in lighting and position can make a huge difference in the image.

Overall I walked away with a ton of new knowledge about my camera and some great tips on how to interact with the client. I am very grateful to Shay for sharing her knowledge and time with us! As part of our fitness routine my husband has been running, and is really enjoying it. So when his friend pointed out that the Warrior Dash was being held not too far from where we live he jumped at the chance to run and have some fun!  Next year I am sooo going to do this.
